Dr. Victoria Franchetti Haynes
Dr. Victoria Franchetti Haynes, is President and CEO of the Research Triangle Institute (RTI), an integrated multidisciplinary organization, conducting research and providing services for the government, industry and universities in the areas of health, environment, education, training, commercialization, and decision support systems. She joined RTI from BFGoodrich Company where she was CTO and Vice President of the Advanced Technology Group. In addition to her role on the Ziptronix Board, Dr. Haynes also serves on the boards of directors for Lubrizol Corporation, Nucor Corporation, MCNC, North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and the North Carolina Board of Science and Technology.
William R. Kress
William R. Kress recently retired as President and CEO of MCNC, an electronics and information technologies company located in Research Triangle Park, N.C. Prior to joining MCNC, Mr. Kress had been with IBM for 36 years, most recently as Site General Manager of IBM's facility in Research Triangle Park and Senior State Executive for IBM in North Carolina. Mr. Kress has also served on many civic and charitable boards and currently remains on the board of directors of MCNC and Mi-Co, a startup company developing handwriting recognition and transmission technology for wireless devices.
Mitch Mumma
Mr. Mumma is a general partner with Intersouth Partners, an early stage venture fund in Durham, N.C., with $500 million under management, that invests in technology and life science companies throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. He is primarily responsible for Intersouth's technology portfolio, and currently serves on the boards of five Intersouth portfolio companies including: Infoglide, Lambda Technologies, nTouch Research, Trinity Convergence and Ziptronix. He was also previously on the boards of Accipiter, Extensibility™, InvoiceLink, and OpenSite Technologies, all Intersouth portfolio companies that have subsequently been acquired.
John Cambier
Mr. Cambier is partner with IDEA Fund Partners, a seed and early stage venture capital firm in Research Triangle Park, NC where, in addition to deal sourcing, due diligence and management of portfolio companies, he holds responsibilities for finance and treasury functions of the firm. Prior to helping launch IDEA Fund Partners in 2007, John was the treasurer and CFO of NC IDEA where he managed finance and accounting operations while working as part of the venture investments team. John started his career with NC IDEA’s predecessor, MCNC, in 1994 and has held positions in technology transfer, contracts administration, business development and finance, contributing to the spin-off of four companies and leading the sale of three business units during that time, including the formation and ultimate sale of Cronos Integrated Microsystems to JDS Uniphase for $665M in 2000. He currently serves on the boards of Brightdoor Systems and Ziptronix and is an observer to the boards of Hexatech and Social Solutions. John has a B.A. from Michigan State University and his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
